Welcome to Harrassowitz Verlag! We are a scientific publisher with about 4000 publications on: Oriental Studies, Asia, Africa, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Near East, Classical Studies, Archaeology, Slavistics, Eastern Europe, Book Studies, Culture, History.

Our program comprises about 150 book series, numerous monographs, exhibition catalogs, editions, manuscript catalogs, textbooks, encyclopedias and dictionaries and grows annually by 250 new publications as well as by the current issues of the 30 journals and yearbooks.

One of our most renowned publications is the Arabic dictionary of Hans Wehr which has just been published in a 6th edition Arabic-German.
